My heart:

I have loved church my entire life.

My dad was a pastor and some of my happiest memories involved the church.  I loved it so much that when neighborhood friends came to play with me…they had to play church.

As an adult I am still madly in love with God and His church….but along the way I developed an aversion for “playing church”.

James 3:2 says “For we all stumble in many ways.”

The church is made up of stumblers.  The key to authentic community is admitting our stumbles in a safe environment that produces support and recovery.  Helping others and being helped is how we will all make it HOME.

In short…I want to spend my life encouraging stumblers with the love of God and Truth.

Why do I feel qualified to do this?  I have spent a lifetime of falling down and getting up.

Why do I feel passion for this?  I have seen people fall…and not get up. It’s heartbreaking.

Why do I feel urgency?  Eternity is just one heartbeat away at all times…for someone.
